The Garage (Salina Educational Automotive Museum)

The Salina Educational Automotive Museum of America, colloquially known as The Garage, is a unique museum experience located in Salina, Kansas. Based in the crossroads of America where I-70 & I-135 intersect, The Garage features quarterly rotating exhibits, and interactive experiences, and appeals to both avid auto enthusiasts and those just looking for a fun place to stop in downtown Salina!

The Garage does not own any vehicles on display, instead reaching out to private owners, museums, and other organizations to create a truly unique show every few months. It is also home to the Kustom Kemps of America Hall of Fame, a yearly-rotating display of pre-1969 automobiles that have received the Kustom treatment.

Come visit the museum where Jay Leno gave two thumbs up!

International Monster Truck Museum and Hall of Fame

The International Monster Truck Museum & Hall of Fame was established in 2010 with the mission of collecting and archiving the history of the monster truck sport and related aspects of the high-performance aftermarket, focusing on capturing history from the surviving pioneers and legends. Each year, the International Monster Truck Museum will honor the most accomplished and significant people in the history of monster trucks with induction into its Hall of Fame.

Through the accumulation of vehicles, oral histories, videos and still images, the International Monster Truck Museum & Hall of Fame will provide a documented history and an entertaining and educational retrospective display about the birth and growth of a purely North American year round motor sport that is geared toward the entire family and the industry it launched for future generations.

Gunnison Pioneer Museum

For thousands of years people have been pioneering into the Gunnison Country to make use of its many resources. Surrounded by some of the most impressive mountain ranges of the Colorado Rockies, getting into and making a life in the Gunnison Country has never been an easy feat, even with today’s technology. The Gunnison Pioneer Museum aims to preserve the history of those people that have come to Colorado and the Gunnison Country to make a life in the “middle of nowhere”.

The Pioneer Museum is located at the base the iconic ‘W’ Mountain along Highway 50 in Gunnison, Colorado. Some of the Gunnison Country’s most historic buildings, like the Paragon School House and Alonzo Hartman’s Post Office, now call the museum’s 14-acre campus their home. Thirty buildings house the Pioneer Society’s large and varied collection of donated objects from not only just the Gunnison Country, but from across the United States as well that demonstrate how times have changed and yet remained the same.

The Andy Mallett antique car museum building was constructed in the spring of 2000 in order to house a very prized collection of 90 antique cars. Mr. Andy Mallett’s donation, which he restored himself, originated in Delta, Colorado. In addition to Mr. Mallett’s collection are vehicles from the GunnisonThe Car Museum at the Gunnison Pioneer Museum area, donated or on loan from local residents.
