Reynolds-Alberta Museum

The Reynolds-Alberta Museum has an internationally acclaimed restoration and conservation shop and an award-winning Resource Center and is one of only three fly-in museums in Canada. The Reynolds-Alberta Museum has also received four Premier’s Awards of Excellence for past exhibitions.

For more than 25 years, the Reynolds-Alberta Museum has celebrated the machines in the transportation, aviation, industrial, and agriculture industries that built Alberta into the province it is today.

The museum interprets the impact of technological change in those industries from the 1890s to the present. The Reynolds-Alberta Museum is part of a network of provincially owned and operated historic sites, interpretive centers and museums and is supported by the Friends of the Reynolds-Alberta Museum Society.

Hall of Flame Museum of Firefighting

Hall of Flame Museum of Firefighting

In 1961 the collection was large enough for exhibit in a small museum in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin, near the Getz summer home.

A few years later, the Hall of Flame moved to Kenosha, Wisconsin, where it remained until 1970. In that year the Getz family moved to Scottsdale, Arizona, and Mr. Getz decided to move the Hall of Flame as well.

In 1974 the Hall of Flame opened its present building in Phoenix’s Papago Park, adjacent to the Phoenix Zoo and Phoenix Municipal Stadium.
The Hall has grown from its original single gallery to five exhibit galleries, the National Firefighting Hall of Heroes, the museum store, a theater, a restoration shop, a collection storage building, and administrative offices.

The Hall’s present size is 70,000 square feet, with 35,000 square feet of exhibit galleries. The collection has grown to over 130 wheeled pieces and thousands of smaller artifacts.

The galleries contain a wide variety of exhibits, including fire apparatus, artwork, uniforms and equipment, firemarks, alarm room equipment, and a large fire safety exhibit which includes a two room safety house, a mini-theater, and many hands-on exhibits for children.

In 1998 the museum opened the National Firefighting Hall of Heroes. In this gallery we honor American firefighters who have received a national award for heroism, and we also recognize American firefighters who have died in the line of duty.

Martin Auto Museum

Created in 2005, the Martin Auto Museum is the brainchild of owner and founder Mel Martin. Mel saw a need to share a collection of vehicles that represent significant periods in automotive history.

After 12 years of operation, Mel had more vehicles in storage than he did in the museum! It was time to move to a bigger building. In March of 2022, the new and improved Martin Auto Museum and Event Center opened on the northwest corner of 43rd Avenue and Thunderbird Road.

The museum features over 140 vehicles, including classic cars, hot rods, customs, imports, and much more.

It also has one of the largest collections of auto memorabilia, antique gas pumps, and signage anywhere.

Kids can enjoy the carousel or our variety of driving and racing games.
