Located in Wilsonville, Oregon, World of Speed is a new kind of educational motorsports museum using historic racecars, boats and motorcycles to tell the story of America’s motorsports culture and leadership role in world motorsports. It encompasses many aspects of motorsports including drag racing, road racing, land speed racing, motorcycle racing, as well as open wheel and NASCAR.

Muscle Car City is a museum with well over 170 vintage ’50s to early ’70s muscle cars. Featuring classic cars and hot rods spanning 35 years of makes and models. The collection boasts GM Performance Cars from ’67 – ’70 Z-28 Camaro’s, ’68 – ’71 396 Camaro’s, ’64 – ’71 SS Chevelle’s, ’65 – ’71 SS El Camino’s, ’58 – ’67 Big Block Impalas, ’64 – ’71 Pontiac GTOs, ’64 – ’72 Oldsmobile 442s and a huge assortment of Hot Rods and Antique Chevys. Rick has managed to maintain and collect one or more Corvette of each year from 1954 – 1975 and several of each series from 1975 – 2016.

Ogeechee River Car Museum

The Ogeechee River Car Museum is located on the Rock Mill Plantation which is a Private Historic Property.

The collection has been procured over the years by auctions, trades, word of mouth, and online sales. Many of the cars have been restored right in the museum’s garage area.

Reservations to visit the museum need to be made 24 hours in advance but once you visit you’ll not only love the cars but you’ll also love Judy’s Restaurant and the Coca-Cola Room as part of the 21,000 sqft. museum.

GM Heritage Center

GM Heritage Center

The General Motors Heritage Center serves as a showplace for the vehicles of the GM Heritage Collection, as a corporate conferencing and special events venue, and as the permanent home for the corporation’s collection of historic literature and artifacts that document GM’s rich history of innovation.

The GM Heritage Center is currently moving from the 81,000-square-foot facility in Sterling Heights, Michigan, the Center that has more than 165 vehicles on display to the Grand Blanc facility with 300,000 square feet. GM expects to display up to three times the number of vehicles. Each of the vehicles in the Collection illustrates a design, technical, or sales milestone or accomplishment in the history of General Motors or automotive history.

The museum is only open for group tours or as an event space until 2024.

Make sure you contact the GM Heritage Center before visiting.
