Klairmont Kollections Automotive Museum
Klairmont Kollections is a classic & antique collection of automobiles in Chicago, IL. The premier collection hosts corporate, charity, and private events.
The Museum of the Horseless Carriage’s mission is to engage, advance, support, promote, and administer charitable and educational activities, causes, and projects with the object of preserving the history and artifacts pertaining to the Brass Era automobile (pre-1916) by operating a museum and providing education opportunities for the general public.
The period before 1916 saw an amazing transformation in independent transportation and technological advancements. This period is not emphasized enough in museums or illustrated adequately in school history courses. The world’s history and culture were profoundly impacted by the early development of the horseless carriage and the pioneers who made it happen.
Locating the Museum of the Horseless Carriage at the Gilmore Car Museum creates the perfect partnership. Alignment of mission between our entities, central location in the United States, and the fact that the Gilmore is the largest auto museum in North America make it the perfect place.
The Museum of the Horseless Carriage is open at its temporary location in the Steam Barn on the Gilmore campus until the capital campaign is completed and the new stand-alone museum building is completed. The new building is targeted to be opened in 2024.

The Model A Ford Museum is truly a treat for our hobbyists. Whether you’ve been before or may be planning to go, each visit will present new vehicles and exhibits that will interest young and old alike. At any given time, the museum has about thirty Model A vehicles on display representing all production years, 1928 through 1931, and a variety of body styles from Tudors to Phaetons to Pickups to Firetrucks, etc.
Annually, they freshen the Museum with new exhibits and displays and create a theme for each year in which we focus on a specific usage of the Model A Ford during its production era. They also have five interactive displays that allow a visitor to learn about the Model A Ford through a “hands-on” experience.

Nuss Truck & Equipment is a three-generation, family-owned, and operated business built on American values.
The story starts with founder Charles B. Nuss, Jr., a repair shop helper turned business owner, and his legacy of commitment to family and community, passion for business, and drive for service. Since 1959, Nuss Truck & Equipment has grown across the North Midwestern United States, providing businesses a helping hand with a hard-working team, quality products, and service that is second-to-none.
Affirming the Nuss legacy is a reminder that even in a rapidly changing environment, they strive to adhere to the principles that brought them this far, and still move towards a path of innovation. Inspired by this idea and the reliable, American-made products that brought them here, The Nuss Collection was created.
The Nuss Collection features a variety of vintage trucks and construction vehicles from the early to mid-1900s. Restored and maintained by the Nuss Family and many generous collaborators, this collection offers a joyful look back at the rise of the trucking industry and celebrates resilience and innovation on American soil.

The Inspiration For The Lincoln Motor Car Heritage Museum Building
Much of the significance and charm of the Gilmore Car Museum campus lies in the placement of many historic structures, both restored originals, and replicas, on the site. In keeping with that theme, the Lincoln Motor Car Heritage Museum, although a new building, is patterned after a historic Lincoln dealership.

The Gilmore Car Museum is North America’s Largest Auto Museum — over 300 cars on display, nearly 190,000 sq. ft. of Exhibit space, a 90-acre historic campus, and much more.
The Gilmore Car Museum started in the early 1960s when Donald S. Gilmore began collecting vintage automobiles. Some of the first vehicles in his collection included a 1927 Ford Model T, a 1913 Rolls Royce, and a 1920 Pierce-Arrow. Restoring that classic Pierce-Arrow at his home on nearby Gull Lake ignited a passion. Over the years that followed Donald continued collecting some of the world’s most renowned automobiles.
To accommodate his collection he acquired 90 acres of land in southwestern Michigan in a small town known as Hickory Corners. It was his wife Genevieve who had the idea of turning the collection into a museum, providing future generations access to Donald’s one-of-a-kind collection. They established a non-profit foundation and opened the museum to the public for the first time on Sunday, July 31, 1966.
Today, the Gilmore Car Museum is North America’s largest auto museum with over 400 vehicles on display and over 190,000 square feet of exhibit space. The Museum’s 90-acre Historic Campus features numerous vintage structures including a restored and fully-functioning 1941 Silk City Diner, a recreated 1930s Shell Station, six onsite Partner Museums, and so much more.
