Bunbury Geographe Motor Museum

BUNBURY GEOGRAPHE MOTOR MUSEUM HAS ONE SPECIFIC AIM – TO BRING THE RICH HISTORY OF CLASSIC AUSTRALIAN VEHICLES TO THE SOUTHWEST.

To date, the museum has acquired, restored, and shared, hundreds of vintage cars, motorcycles, and memorabilia items that are displayed in our museum.

The museum is managed and run by car enthusiasts in the local Bunbury area. The team at BGMM lives and breathe motor vehicles, regularly cleaning, maintaining, and improving the motors on display – if you’re lucky, you might even catch them in the act of redesigning the layout of the displays and getting under the bonnet!

The collection includes heritage pieces from pre-war, memorable race cars from eras gone by, memorabilia from WA’s very own Josh Sheehan, vintage signs and number plates, and shiny, spectacular vehicles from decades gone by.

Fox Classic Car Collection

The Fox Classic Car Collection, housed in the historic Queen’s Warehouse, contains dozens of the world’s most rare and prestigious vehicles.

These cars have been collected over a 50-year period by Lindsay Fox, Founder of Australian logistics company Linfox, and donated to a Trust to raise funds for charity and for the public to enjoy. Lindsay has a passion for classic vehicles, with his collection including models from Mercedes Benz, Jaguar, Porsche, Ferrari, Bentley, Volkswagen, Ford, Rolls Royce, MG, Lexus and Nissan between 1923 and 2020.

Some vehicles have previously been owned by Ringo Starr, Bing Crosby and Bob Jane to name a few.

The collection is steeped in history, one-off prototypes, and cars that dreams are made of.

National Motor Racing Museum

The National Motor Racing Museum celebrates the rich history of Australian Motor Sport, with a particular focus on Bathurst and Mount Panorama as the spiritual home of Australian motor racing. Located at Murray’s Corner, Mount Panorama – an address the envy of motorsports Australia-wide.

From humble beginnings as a temporary display, the Museum, then known as The Bathurst Motor Racing Museum was officially opened in 1988 by the late Peter Brock. Through changes in name and the move to our current location, the Museum and collection have grown substantially over the last 30 years to cover all facets of motorsport from the 1920s to the present. The stories of drivers and events are told through original trophies, race suits, leathers, race footage, and photographs.

See many of the dominant machines that ran in Australian touring car, open-wheeler, rally, motorcycle, and speedway races. Take in one of our ever-changing exhibitions and experience the spectacular Immersive Room which gives visitors a taste of the speed, sound, and excitement of racing at Mount Panorama.

Campe’s Motor Museum

Campe’s Motor Museum is every motor enthusiast’s dream come true. Founded more than three decades ago, the museum is home to vintage cars and an array of motor memorabilia.

You will find Campe’s Motor Museum, just behind the famous Big Woolbales, and only 3kms north-west of the Hamilton city center.

This museum started when Glen and Margaret Campe began running “Campe’s Coaches” back in the 1980s which ran a school bus run each day as well as bus charters. They grew their business to include a fleet of 14 buses.

Today, the museum celebrates cars, vans, and motorbikes by displaying them in its large exhibition shed. Some of the most notable attractions on-site include a 1955 Ansett Clipper Bus, a Citroen 1933, and a stunning Stutz 1929.

You will also be able to view motoring memorabilia, photos, and antiques and will be able to get up close with the many vintage cars on display. The museum is open daily, but it is wise to call ahead to check.
