Isle of Man Motor Museum

Situated on the former RAF Jurby in the sunny north of the Isle of Man, the privately funded Isle of Man Motor Museum was purpose designed and houses over 500 vehicles. Opened in May 2015, it has become a petrolhead’s paradise with something for everyone to enjoy.

Starting with the 1904 Gordon Bennett Trials, the Isle of Man occupies a unique place in both motoring and motorsports heritage. Every year, TT riders take on the fearsome 37.73 mile Mountain Course now averaging well over 130mph. Throughout the year, the Island’s fabulous driving roads and stunning scenery provide all enthusiast drivers and riders with an ideal destination to exercise their machines.

The core of the Museum’s collection is the Cunningham Collection. Assembled by father and son team Denis and Darren Cunningham over the past 30 years, this unique gathering of both historically significant vehicles and cars with very personal family stories led them to privately fund the establishment of the Isle of Man Motor Museum in order to share their passion. The museum also hosts over 250 other vehicles on loan from other enthusiasts and collectors.

Motorcar Museum of Japan

The Japan Automobile Museum, located in Komatsu City, Ishikawa Prefecture, is one of the largest automobile museums in Japan in terms of the number of exhibits.

Cars that were active in Japan in the 20th century were collected from all over the country, and the 800 cars owned were exhibited in their original condition, with about 500 cars in use at all times. From cars in the early days of the automobile industry to post-war cars, the exhibits are categorized by various concepts such as manufacturers and genres.

In particular, it is characterized by exhibiting a large number of old commercial vehicles made in Japan, and many “precious vehicles that can only be seen at the Japan Automobile Museum” are also on display.

The museum is operated by Ishiguro Sangyo Co., Ltd., headquartered in Oyabe City, Toyama Prefecture. It was opened as the first automobile museum in Japan.
During the period of high economic growth in the Showa era, the trend of using utility vehicles such as trucks to be used up was disapproved, and the Japan Automobile Museum began with a focus on collecting practical vehicles in particular and opening them to the public as a private collection.

Toyota Automobile Museum

The Toyota Automobile Museum was established to commemorate the history of the automobile and is dedicated to building a prosperous future for humans and motorcars.

The automobile industry is now undergoing a profound change that may occur only once in a century. To capture this momentum, the museum is poised to present lessons from the past, inspire thoughts on the future of mobility, and play a part in building a new automobile culture.
