Dirt Motorsports Hall of Fame Classic Car Museum

The Dirt Motorsports Hall of Fame Classic Car Museum building was originally intended to house Donnelly’s collection of classic cars, but Andy Fusco and Gary Spaid convinced him to include a Hall of Fame for the region’s dirt Modified drivers, with historic stock cars on display. Jack Speno was named curator of the Museum.

Fusco, Spaid, Gary Rowe, and Gary Chadwick drew up a charter, outlining driver eligibility for induction. These four individuals, plus Tom Skibinski, comprised the original selection committee.

The inaugural induction ceremonies were held on April 12, 1992, with 12 drivers and one pioneer driver being selected. A set of hero cards and posters were sold, honoring that first class. The ceremonies were followed by a Hall of Fame race at Weedsport Speedway.

The Cobra Experience

The Cobra Experience

The Cobra Experience is a non-profit museum committed to the promotion, conservation, education, and preservation of the cars produced by Shelby American.

Unique to the museum is the 7.2 surround sound HD film not only about the cars themselves but about the Ford and Shelby American story. The ultimate goal is to educate you on the unbelievable accomplishments of Ford and Shelby American during the 1960s. They started with nothing and won every major race including Le Mans in the GT class in 1964, and FOUR times in a row overall from 1966-1969, for a total of FIVE times! It is such a great part of racing history and this legacy must be told!

National Sprint Car Hall of Fame & Museum

National Sprint Car Hall of Fame & Museum

The National Sprint Car Hall of Fame and Museum is open seven days a week, 362 days a year. The only museum in the world dedicated to the history of sprint car racing!

The National Sprint Car Hall of Fame & Museum’s non-profit foundation was founded in 1986 by some of sprint car racing’s visionaries, including Knoxville Raceway Promoter Ralph Capitani, Casey’s General Stores Founder Don Lamberti, sprint car builder CK Spurlock and others who wanted to both promote the future of sprint car racing and also preserve sprint car racing’s history. The museum was opened in 1991, in turn, two at the world-famous Knoxville Raceway and operates year-round seven days a week for race fans to come in and learn more about sprint car racing. An average of 30-35 open-wheel race cars are always on display and the exhibits and race cars are loaned to the museum by the owners and fabricators who have restored the race cars. So the sprint cars and exhibits on display are always changing throughout the year, offering race fans a variety of open-wheel race cars to enjoy on every visit.
