The good news for people like us, is that there are no shortage of cool places to visit all over the world.

The price of admission is always a subject of debate. It is also one of the most common updates to museums listed in the Automotive Museum Guide.

One of the cool things about the Automotive Museum Guide is that you can use it as a resource at your pace. Most people do not travel the country specifically to visit automotive museums.

I’m on the road again this week, so this one will be brief. Last week I had to share the unfortunate news about a few automotive museums closing very soon.

I have unfortunate news about two automotive museums that are closing this year. The first one I had a heads-up about it, so I knew it was coming.

There are two Cadillac museums you can visit in the USA. For a short time, my one-car museum could have been the third Cadillac museum in the country.

This was by far one of the most unique and cool places I’ve ever been to pick up a vehicle. The vehicle had been stored inside the side of a mountain for the last decade in a place called Brady’s Bend Underground Storage.

Ever since I got into the automotive museum world, I thought it was strange that the big automotive manufacturers didn’t have their own museums.

Not including museums outside the USA, it takes about 3 years to get through all the museums. The three museums I’m sharing this week were last updated in 2023, which seems like forever ago.

There’s always room for more motorcycles. Even if you’re not a motorcycle rider, there is an art to the design of a motorcycle that you should be able to appreciate.

This Automotive Museum Guide features all kinds of museums, and the one thing they all have in common is that you can visit them.

Whether it’s a show to raise funds for a specific family in need, a church, a charity, or a museum, the proceeds raised help make a difference, and you have to spend a few hours having a good time.

Just about every museum’s mission is some version of preserving and sharing automotive history, which is true and necessary.

Some of the very niche automotive museums you can visit may have it a little more difficult to capture a broader interest. Or perhaps because they are so niche, they have the ability to be hyper-focused on what they specialize in.

I would argue that sometimes a car museum is just a car museum, but the best are all 3.

If you need an excuse to ride or drive somewhere, just open up the MAP and find a museum to visit.

Visit as many museums as you can. Volunteer if possible. Become an advocate. If you have a collection or even just one car or priceless knowledge, share it.
