The Weekly 3

I’m on the road again, picking up another donated vehicle for Miles Through Time Automotive Museum. Hopefully, I don’t mess it up again and leave this in my drafts until Wednesday like I did last week. 😉

If you’re reading this on Monday, I’m much closer to Owls Head Transportation Museum than I normally am, but it’s still too far for the time I have. This museum not only has really cool operational cars, but they also have operational aircraft. As an old crew chief on A10s and C130s, being on a flight line takes me back.

For some people, they really love seeing things they’re already familiar with. For example, cars from movies and TV shows connect with a lot more people than just regular cars.

The Celebrity Car Museum – The Velvet Collection is a great place to visit to see a lot of the cars you’re familiar with. This museum would probably be a great home for this Beatles-Inspired Collection looking for a new home.

Now if you’re like me, you enjoy seeing stuff you’ve seen before. The Revs Institute has some amazing cars on display, many I’m familiar with, but there are many that I am not.

I got to spend a few days at The Revs Institute a few years ago and the joint NAAM and WFFMM conference. I highly recommend visiting at least once, although you’ll need to wait until October 1st, since they are currently closed for maintenance.

Don’t forget to use the MAP to find out where the closest automotive museum is to you, no matter where you are in the world. This is what I use the most to find museums to visit during my travels.

If you want to see more, visit the Weekly 3.
