The Weekly 3
There are two Cadillac museums you can visit in the USA. When I first started Miles Through Time Automotive Museum with only one car I inherited. That car was a 1959 Cadillac, so for a short time, my one-car museum could have been the third Cadillac museum in the country.
We’ve had some Cadillacs come and go over the years. Currently, my Pop’s 59 is on display along with one other Cadillac and a LaSalle. Despite opening a museum with one Cadillac, I’ve never heard anything from Cadillac. 😉
Speaking of the 1959 Cadillac. Have you heard of Ralph Teetor? If not, you’ve probably heard of cruise control. Ralph invent cruise control. It was originally released in the 1958 Imperial as “Auto Pilot,” but the name “Cruise-Control” stuck when it was released in the 1959 Cadillac.

Ralph had a terrible accident at 5 years old, which left him blind, but he still changed the world. You can learn more about his story and watch the documentary Blind Logic, which is available on many streaming services.
If you’re a Cadillac fan, you’ll want to visit the Greenberg Cadillac Museum. Apparently, it is the largest collection of Cadillacs in the US. From one-cylinder cars to much more modern.
The Cadillac LaSalle Museum is the most well-known Cadillac museum. The museum has a bunch of beautiful Cadillacs and Lasalles on display, curated by the Cadillac and LaSalle Clubs.
Since there are only two Cadillac museums, but I owe you three, I figured I’d go with the competition. In my mind, if you’re choosing between two brands and one of them is Cadillac, the other one is probably Lincoln.
You can visit the Lincoln Motorcar Heritage Museum the same day you visit the Cadillac LaSalle Museum. Both of the museums are a part of the Gilmore Car Museum campus, which is way more than just Lincoln and Cadillac.
If you want to see more, visit the Weekly 3.

The Price of Admission
The price of admission is always a subject of debate. It is also one of the most common updates to museums listed in the Automotive Museum Guide.
You can see 5 vehicles or hundreds
One of the cool things about the Automotive Museum Guide is that you can use it as a resource at your pace. Most people do not travel the country specifically to visit automotive museums.
Closed for the season is better than closed for good
I’m on the road again this week, so this one will be brief. Last week I had to share the unfortunate news about a few automotive museums closing very soon.
These two museums are closing VERY soon
I have unfortunate news about two automotive museums that are closing this year. The first one I had a heads-up about it, so I knew it was coming.
Underground storage is a thing
This was by far one of the most unique and cool places I’ve ever been to pick up a vehicle. The vehicle had been stored inside the side of a mountain for the last decade in a place called Brady’s Bend Underground Storage.
From up North to Down South
The Weekly 3I'm on the road again, picking up another donated vehicle for Miles Through Time Automotive Museum. Hopefully, I don't mess it up again and leave this in my drafts until Wednesday like I did last week. 😉 If you're reading this on Monday, I'm much closer...
Guess how many automobile manufacturers have their own museums
Ever since I got into the automotive museum world, I thought it was strange that the big automotive manufacturers didn’t have their own museums.
Guess how many museums have closed in the last 5 years
Not including museums outside the USA, it takes about 3 years to get through all the museums. The three museums I’m sharing this week were last updated in 2023, which seems like forever ago.
Any excuse to visit a museum is a great excuse
There’s always room for more motorcycles. Even if you’re not a motorcycle rider, there is an art to the design of a motorcycle that you should be able to appreciate.
What’s the deal?
This Automotive Museum Guide features all kinds of museums, and the one thing they all have in common is that you can visit them.
