Mauck Automotive Museum Tour
Visiting America’s Automotive Museums in a Mauck MSV
Visiting automotive museums is always fun, but there are so many of them the best way to visit as many as possible is by RV. Miles Through Time Automotive Museum founder and creator of Automotive Museum Guide, Sean Mathis has been planning to go on tour showcasing automotive museums across the country.
A regular motorhome would be too boring and easy, but going on tour with a 1999 Mauck MSV 1120S is a little more interesting. What is a Mauck MSV? It is a custom motorcoach built between 1997 and 1999. The production total is only 100, and each one built was custom-made for elites in the late 90s.
Many of the Maucks were created as party buses and limos or mobile offices. Most came with a Vortec 454 V8 and a GM 4L80E heavy-duty truck transmission. The Mauck comes with a full-air ride suspension, carbon steel frame, and a completely custom fiberglass body. The most notable distinction of the Mauck is the 21 window panels and butterfly-style doors. New, these babies were anywhere from $250,000 to over $800,000.
Much like the Oscar Mayer Wienermobile, the Mauck is unique and cool enough to draw its own crowd. Each museum the Mauck stops at will give visitors at the museum a chance to check out a piece of 90’s luxury.
There are over 300 automotive museums just in North America which means visiting all of them in one tour is impossible. Instead, there will be multiple tours that will be routed based on the Automotive Museum Guide map.
