Graham County Auto and Arts Museum

Central, Kansas

The Graham County Auto and Arts Museum became a reality in April 2021 when founder Fred Pratt’s vision came to life in Hill City, Kansas. With support from renowned collector Stephen Tebo and local community members, the museum acquired and restored the historic “Dean’s Service” gas station, expanding it into an 8,000-square-foot destination designed to welcome both hometown visitors and travelers passing through the crossroads of Highways 24 and 283.

Among the museum’s highlights is the 1964 Cadillac hearse that carried President John F. Kennedy’s body from Parkland Memorial Hospital to Air Force One in November 1963. Purchased by Tebo at auction in 2012, the hearse is joined by standouts from his private collection, including a 1936 Cadillac Convertible, a 1929 Pierce-Arrow, a 1924 Duesenberg, and a 1922 Model T.

The museum also showcases vehicles with strong local ties, such as a Model T featured in the movie Paper Moon, a 1967 Pontiac, a 1942 Chevy Sedan, and a 1969 Camaro. Rounding out the displays are antique tractors and an array of vintage motorcycles, blending automotive history with community heritage in one unique space.
