Correll Museum

Oklahoma, Southern

The Correll Museum consists of two buildings. The main building has a beautiful, painted mural on the outside of the structure. The award-winning artist, Lance Hunter, was commissioned to paint the mural that honors the late D.W. Correll, the museum’s benefactor and a beloved Catoosa resident. The brightly colored, attention-getting mural, is 8 feet tall and 72 feet wide. It shows a glimpse of the interesting collection of artifacts inside the museum.

Inside the main building, you will see a rare collection of rocks, gems, fossils and minerals displayed from around the world, including our world class fluorescent mineral display. There is an interesting assortment of seashells and coral, along with antique toys, diecast automobile models, an extensive collection of bottles and decanters, and our rock and gift shop.

The second building is for the vintage car enthusiast. It houses antique automobiles restored by Mr. Correll, and other items of broad curiosity and antiquity such as the historical Texaco gas pump. Several antique carriages are on display such as the 1904 Concert Stage horse-drawn carriage. There is also a collection of antique toy tractors, cars, pickups, etc. on display that was donated by Dan Ward. The antique automobiles include:

1898 Locomobile (Steam Engine)
