The nonprofit is in the process of acquiring a 41,000 sq. ft. facility located on the old US99, less than a mile from the original Burge’s Drive-In, the legendary turnaround point in the Modesto Cruise Route in the late 50s and early 60s.
The Graffiti USA Museum will showcase a vintage exterior, complete with an operating replica classic diner, inviting visitors inside for the immersive Graffiti USA experience, taking the visitor back in time to 1962, bringing the nights of the cruise to life.

Richard A. Stephens, former Academy of Art University President, has always had a penchant for cars, a sentiment that has been passed down to his daughter and current President of the Academy, Dr. Elisa Stephens. Desiring to offer automotive design at the Academy, Mr. Stephens wanted to give students a design perspective that they would not be able to receive from anywhere else. With access to a museum of rare and classic vehicles, students can study exquisite design and apply that sense of craftsmanship to their own artistic pursuits.
The Academy of Art University Automobile Museum preserves and pays homage to these classic fixtures of international automotive innovation and also provides inspiration and a sense of history to students who attend the Academy of Art University. Special guests, student groups, and the general public are now able to observe, admire and study this rare collection.

The JA Cooley Museum is San Diego’s Most Unique Collection of Antiques and Automobiles. The museum is 10,000 sqft feet of the private collection of Jim and Carmen Cooley. Located in the University Heights community of San Diego, 1 mile north of Balboa Park this is the largest private collection of the Industrial Revolution and the history of San Diego.
The museum features over two dozen automobiles from 1886 to 1933. Each car highlights advances in technology at the very beginning of car manufacturing. There are over 25 different categories of collections displayed including lamps, bells, irons, purses, trains, clocks, spittoons, posters, cameras, cast iron toys, typewriters, household appliances, music machines, telegraphs, telephones, and phonographs.

Founded by Major General William Lyon, Lyon Air Museum is located on the west side of John Wayne Airport in Orange County, California. Lyon Air Museum is collocated with Martin Aviation, an award-winning jet, turbo-prop, and piston-powered aircraft repair facility established in 1923 by famed aviation pioneer Eddie Martin.
The Lyon Air Museum exhibits are comprised of authentic aircraft, rare vehicles, and related memorabilia, with emphasis on the defining event of the 20th century – World War II. The Estrella Warbirds Museum is dedicated to the restoration and preservation of military aircraft, military vehicles, and memorabilia of those who flew and worked on military aircraft.
Their approach, however, is not to glorify conflict but rather to make a future generation aware of the fact our way of life does not come without sacrifice. They are also home to the incredible Woodland Auto Display.
