Northeast Classic Car Museum
The largest car museum in the Northeast! Over 200 cars, trucks & motorcycles are on display! The museum is all one level and wheelchair accessible. It is over 89,000 square feet of re-purposed factory buildings all connected and climate-controlled. We opened in 1997 with a collection of 45 pre-war cars on loan from George Staley. Now 21 years later, we have grown and continue to bring visitors to Norwich from all over the World!
Current exhibits include the Pre-war era, Post-War Era, the largest private collection of Franklins, motorcycles, military engines, and Cars Made in New York State. Special exhibit through April 2019 – Trucks at Work, delivery, and work trucks such as International, Diamond T, and Divco to name a few. This part of the museum is changed out in May with a new themed display. You will enjoy vintage clothing displayed throughout the galleries showing the attire for that period.
You can take a rest and watch one of the videos playing about George Staley and his cars, the Cars made in NY, and the Staley Collection. Parking is free and lots are in the front and around the corner on State Street. Plenty of room for buses, RV’s and events
They have an Event room you can rent for up to 300 people. Scooters are available at no charge and plenty of seating areas to rest as you go through. Allow yourself at least 1.5-2 hours to see it all! Open 7 days a week from 9 am-5 pm. Closed Easter Sunday, Thanksgiving & Christmas.
