The Southeastern Railway Museum is Georgia’s Official Transportation History Museum and occupies a 35-acre site in Duluth, Georgia, in northeast suburban Atlanta. It was started by the Atlanta Chapter of the National Railway Historical Society, is currently operated by a community-based board, and is recognized by the IRS as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization for historical and educational purposes.
The museum is staffed almost completely with volunteers and has been operating since 1970. SRM features about 90 items of rolling stock, including historic Pullman cars and classic steam and diesel locomotives.
