Among the 140 pieces on display at the Museum of Automotive History, which rotate among the nearly 240 that the collection has, you can enjoy some jewels from the history of the automobile, such as the tricycle patented by the German engineer Karl Benz, which is considered the first propelled vehicle. for an internal combustion engine from history, a 1922 Rolls-Royce Silver Ghost, a Cadillac Fleetwood 75 that belonged to the dictator Francisco Franco, or the jewel in the collection, a 1930 Hispano-Suiza in its original state since it has never been needed undergo restoration. In addition, temporary exhibitions with content from other collections are common.

The museum exhibits the collection of Demetrio Gómez Planche, a former technical architect who, with the help of his family, has collected all kinds of automobiles, motorcycles, documents, and accessories related to the automotive world for more than 40 years. The Gómez Planche collection was joined by contributions from the Directorate General of Traffic, the Iveco-Pegaso Historical Center and other contributions, both public and private.

The Salamanca Automotive History Museum, located opposite Casa Lis, is also equipped with a library, newspaper library, video library and an archive.
