Flagstaff Auto Museum

Coming Soon

The Flagstaff Auto Museum is the brainchild of local classic car photographer and musician John Lutz, who has been inspired to share and preserve classic automotive Route 66 culture as a living history of mechanics and art in motion.

The museum is a project of Lutz’s non-profit organization, C.A.R.E.S. – the Classic Automobile Restoration and Education Society.

The museum will house a classic car restoration garage which will provide cosmetic and mechanical restoration work to exciting classic cars, and will also provide apprenticeships, scholarships, classes, and educational programs to local youth.  The main goal is educating and training the next generation of classic car tradesmen and craftspeople, and to be a part of the growth of the local car community in Flagstaff.

The programs at the museum and garage also serve as an inter-generational bridge, bringing more senior expert mechanics and skilled tradesmen together with today’s youth and elderly populations to rescue, restore, preserve and enjoy our shared heritage of classic automobile treasures for generations to come.

The Flagstaff Automobile Museum, the garage project, and the C.A.R.E.S. organization are actively seeking corporate sponsors, private members, and volunteers to help make these projects a reality in 2021 and beyond.
