Classics Museum

New Zealand

The owner of the museum is Tom Andrews, he is a successful and hardworking Hamilton business entrepreneur, proud family man and lover of all things classic. Brought up in Melville he has lived here all his life. Tom decided he needed some more room to store his increasing collection of automobilia and classic cars.

One of Tom’s first money-making ventures was fixing up cars as a teenager. This sparked a passion for automobilia and he has collected hundreds of pieces of old car-related artifacts such as by-the-gallon glass petrol pumps and early 20th century enameled Texaco signs. Tom started off building a ‘shed’ to house his expanding collection as it had well and truly outgrown his home.

Classics Museum was the result and the museum now houses over 100 cars and is one of Hamilton’s top tourist attractions. Tom runs the Classic Car Museum alongside his daughters Emily and Toni and his wife Diane.
