Tucson Auto Museum

The Tucson Auto Museum has over 70 classic, iconic, and unique autos inside the 20,000+ square foot facility—plus lots of interesting automobilia-like signs and gas pumps from yesteryear.

The mission of the Tucson Auto Museum is to showcase the very old (our Model T just celebrated its 102nd birthday), the iconic (hard not to fall in love with our mid-century classic Cadillacs, Desotos, Hudsons, and Packards), the sporty (picture yourself behind the wheel of one of our classic Corvettes, Thunderbirds, MGs or Triumphs), the unique (ever see a car with just one door—and it is in the front?!) and more. You can even go Back to the Future in their shiny, stainless steel Delorean.

The new Location opens in the fall!

This delightful collection has been a stopping point for thousands of visitors who arrive from around the world to travel on Route 66 for adventure and education. Imaginative and ever-expanding displays present these modern-day explorers with a variety of information, including vehicles, photographs, and artifacts gathered over the history of “The Mother Road.”

The small theater features a one-hour movie that tells the story of Route 66 in Arizona. The Electric Car Museum, recently added, includes a fascinating selection of electric vehicles such as race cars, motorcycles, and autos—both old and new.

JWJ Cycles Museum

JWJ Cycles Museum

JWJ Cycles started with two brothers, Jack and Warren, sons of a Baptist Preacher,  living in the Texas Bible belt in the 40s. Both were fascinated with airplanes and motorcycles.  The day they first rode the bicycle they built with a lawnmower engine and no throttle control; they were hooked. Contact the museum to view the vintage bikes on display.  Weekend hours and more events are coming.

Buddy Stubbs Motorcycle Museum

After a successful career as a Harley® racing legend and Hollywood stuntman, Buddy Stubbs opened the first Harley-Davidson® dealership in Phoenix in 1966. The dealership became the home of his extensive collection of vintage motorcycles, and the Historic Motorcycle Museum was born.

The collection spans the history of Harley-Davidson® and also features rare models from AJS, BMW, BSA, Triumph®, Zundapp, Indian Motorcycle®, and more.

From the earliest examples of street bikes to racing bikes from the ’30s, ’40s, and ’50s, the museum’s collection is the largest in the Southwest. Along with Harley-Davidson® bikes dating as far back as the original 1903 model, the museum also features a large selection of Triumph bikes spanning several decades. It’s an excellent collection showcasing the development of touring bikes in Europe during the period when Harley-Davidson® ruled America.

If you’re in Phoenix, make sure to check out the Buddy Stubbs Historic Motorcycle Museum. It’s the perfect place to bring the kids and spend the day learning about the history of two-wheeled transportation!
