PROTOTYP Museum

Europe, Germany

You can experience racing history up close in the PROTOTYP Museum. Racing and sports cars, especially from the 1950s/1960s, including unique prototypes, take you to a time full of thrilling races, daring racers, and brilliant designers. A special focus is Porsche constructions.

Immerse yourself in a world of gasoline and adrenaline. Multimedia films show the vehicles in action, the engines roar in a walk-in audio box, and in our driving simulator – a real Porsche 356 convertible – you can get behind the wheel yourself in search of the ideal line.

Discover the fascination of automobiles on three spacious floors of a historic factory building, starting with our permanent exhibition and special exhibitions to the gallery and the museum café Erlkönig, which invites you to a pit stop.
